Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Singapore for a three-day state visit after a two-day stay in Brunei on Wednesday.

PM Modi arrived in Singapore on a two-day tour to further strengthen the bond between India and Singapore, the’strategic partnership,’ and seek investment from the ASEAN nation.
As for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he mentioned that he anticipated the meetings that would be held to further strengthen the bilateral friendly relations between India and Singapore.
The talent of India’s workers and the reforms of the country make it an ideal place to invest, said PM Modi, who also expected the two countries to strengthen cultural relations.
The Indian community of Singapore welcomed their Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, warmly and enthusiastically. In the first interaction event of the welcoming ceremony, PM Modi also interacted with others by applying some Naad; they let him play dhol.
Prime Minister Modi shook hands with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. Both leaders shook hands with a friendly embrace as their fellowship was evident when posing for a picture.
On Wednesday night, there will be a dinner hosted by Lawrence Wong, where PM Modi will be present.
The last time PM Modi was in Singapore was in 2018, and he is accompanied with India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, and other officials.
The MEA added, “The leaders will discuss the state of play of the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership and have interaction on matters of regional as well as international interest.”
While in Singapore, PM Modi would have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Singapore, senior minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Emeritus senior minister Goh Chok Tong. Wong and Lee will arrange for a separate meal with the PM Modi.
A meeting between PM Modi and Singapore business leaders will talk about investment and partnerships in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, among others. The visit also seeks to foster partnership between the semiconductor ecosystems of both countries as well.
