Chief Minister Narendra Modi has begun his weekend with a breathtaking Kaziranga National Park and Haven safari of Kaziranga. Together with the forest officers, he hopped onto an elephant for a safari in the Kohora area, and afterward, he joined a jeep safari for more thrilling expeditions.
Praising the park for its beautifully green and its amazing variaties of the wild lives, PM Modi uploaded on the social media in which he stated about the park like a World Heritage site of UN and its population of the noble one-horned rhinos.
The PM spent all day traveling to Sela, where the world’s largest bidirectional road tunnel is located. He dedicated it during the “Vikasit Bharat Vikasit North East” program, which was held in Arunachal Pradesh. The Sela Tunnel, erected at a cost of Rs.825 crore, gave all-weather connectivity to Tawang through the pass and made stronger strategic infrastructure in the border region.
With sarcasm toward the Congress party for its abandonment of border areas and flaws in the incentive policy, PM Modi pledged to give attention to the frontier region in his expected third term and initiated the construction of roads and schools in the area to affirm his promise of frontier development.
The other important scheme initiated was UNNATI, worth the sum of ₹10,000 million, targeting the development of Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister also did the Rs. 55,600 developmental projects in those states to showcase that the government is not about developing one sector or the whole state.
Subsequently, PM Modi unearthed the beautiful 125-foot-high Statue of Valour. The monument dedicated to Ahom general Lachit Barphukan has been inaugurated in Jorha. In Jorhat, he also laid the groundwork for different developmental projects worth ₹18,000 crore.
After that, the Prime Minister went to Siliguri, West Bengal. He also joined a public program, and with an investment of ₹4,500 crore, he aimed for regional development.
Furthermore, PM Modi visited Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, where he paid homage at the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The following day, he attended a public program and dedicated and laid foundation stones for projects worth over ₹42,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive progress.
PM Modi’s action-packed weekend showcased his engagement with environmental conservation, infrastructure development, and regional growth, highlighting his dedication to driving India’s holistic development.
