Patna, Feb 24: A momentous day for Patna’s academic landscape unfolded today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated expansive new campuses of several prestigious institutes in Bihar.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputies attended the ceremony from the Bihar Assembly and various ministers, welcoming the massive boost to higher education infrastructure in the state.
The showstopper project was the unveiling of IIT Patna’s sprawling new campus. Constructed at Rs 466 crore over 493 acres, the high-tech facilities include massive libraries, auditoriums, academic centers, and living quarters to benefit thousands of technology scholars.
PM Modi also launched the first permanent campus of IIM Bodh Gaya seven years after its founding.
The institute will now transition from its temporary abode into an ultramodern 60,000 sq ft facility built at Rs 400 crore to empower young business leaders of tomorrow.
The auspicious occasion marks a significant stride in Bihar’s vision of nurturing top-notch talent and intellect. CM Nitish Kumar thanked the PM for prioritizing the leading institutes that will write the state’s future. The sentiment resonated through the city bustling with aspirations today.
