Police arrest 11, including notorious gangster Ankur, in violent clash

Major progress in the police efforts has been made with the arrest of 11 people headed by the gangster Ankur, who were the major perpetrators of the February 21 violent clash near the Tile Subhani Building. The incident happened in the very early morning, and the guys from both gangs were seen to be fighting violently throughout, throwing empty bottles and other jagged objects at each other. The accounts even mentioned that bullets were fired at that moment, replacing the air with a tense atmosphere around.

It seems to me that the boys have run off and are now being hunted by the police, who are trying to keep them away. Yet, thanks to the dint and the scope of the police force that found the accused in Dehradun, they were next arrested. The immediate response of the authorities established the priority they give both order and unbiased dealings with the perpetrators of the disorder.

Among the groups of arrested people, there is a notorious gangster, Ankur, who also had been eluded during the crime scene. His arrest is commendable to the police, who view Ankur as the favourite person in the gang’s operation. When the police picked Ankur, red flags were already raised because he had been in the hands of the law for some misconduct.

The clash itself yielded injuries to two people, Shubham Mota and Nadeem, who were associated with one another. Both struggle for life due to bullet injuries and are transferred to Christian Medical College and Hospital, where a medical emergency happens. However, fortunately, by the intervention of a medical worker, they are now out of danger and in stable condition.

Accordingly, the incident above happened to be the next stage of the earlier detention of Mota and Nadeem, who were arrested by the police. Thanks to the arrests of Ankur and the rest of the gang being held there, the case will likely move forward. The clash and its circumstances will be further investigated as the background and plot behind it.

The responsible DCP, Suhail Qassim Mir, confirmed the arrests and, to that effect, stated this is the first breakthrough in the continued endeavours of dismantling gang violence. Before the June 11 shooting, one division 01 police had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against each of the gangs, thus the scope of the investigations would have been wider.

The seizure of suspected criminals demonstrates a feature of police service that is strong in its integrity and its ability to apprehend and uphold peace and order. The authorities will not rest until they have found and punished the people responsible for this and will work to stop it from happening again.
