President Murmu highlights NDA’s agenda in parliament address

In her speech during the Session of Parliament, President Murmu Droupadi congratulated the BJP-led NDA govt for obtaining the third term. Accepting the people’s belief in the government’s policies and visions, she complimented the record-breaking voter turn, including the Kashmir valley.

In presenting the government’s development agenda, the President said that they expect the coming union budget to embody the ‘disruptive policies & futuristic approach ‘ of this administration. It held India as the fifth largest economy in the world and spoke on the agricultural support systems put in place by the government.

About issues of leaked exam papers, the President trumpeted the government’s commitment to the reform of education sector integrity. To assess the government’s work in transformation, she pointed to the resolution of the longstanding problems and phase-wise repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in the Northeast region.

Before briefly addressing the government’s record of delivering on its promises and founding new policies such as the Citizenship Amendment Act, the President was interrupted with shouts in the House about the continuously occurring ethnic conflict in Manipur.

Before concluding her speech, the President of India was hopeful for India’s further growth in the global setting, including preparations for the Olympics in the year 2036.
