In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, a student has killed Surendra Kumar Saxena, the principal of Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School. The incident took place in the bathroom of the school, where Saxena was found dead with a bullet injury on his head. Saxena, 55, was serving as the principal of the school for almost five years.
Witnesses said the student allegedly followed Saxena into the bathroom before the shooting occurred. The sound of the gunfire sent shockwaves through the school, prompting staff members to rush to the principal’s office, where they found him lying in a pool of blood.
The class 12 accused, along with another student, fled the scene on Saxena’s two-wheeler. According to Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, the students are known for their disciplinary history, while their fleeing actions have been captured on CCTV footage in the premises.
Saxena’s family believes the shooting was premeditated. His brother, Rajendra Saxena said, “Some people in the school were putting undue pressure on him and harassing him to do wrong things. This murder seems to be a part of a planned conspiracy.”
The incident has kicked off an investigation, and forensic teams have been deployed at the scene to gather evidence. The community remains in shock as they face up to the tragic loss of a principal deeply devoted to his school.
