Pune Porsche tragedy: Minor accused to be questioned with mother

The much-awaited interrogation by the police in the Pune Porsche hit-and-run case has taken a new turn, with the minor accused agreeing for questioning. An update to the Porsche hit-and-run case in Pune state is that at least, the minor accused involved is set to be quizzed by the police. According to sources reports, JJB has allowed the authorities to interrogate the minor for two hours, and his arrested mother will also be with him during this process.

Section 50 of the Juvenile Justice Act also wrote that irrespective of the presence of news reported by minors, they can be interrogated in the company of their parents. Here, the police have reportedly found out that the mother had beenrian Blood samples belonging to the son and substituted them with her samples in a bid to blind the investigating team. As investigators discovered through CCTV footage, the minor was caught consuming alcohol in a bar following the accident that killed two 24-year-old techies.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade opined that the inquiry about the minor will be conducted in the juvenile shelter home when he is accompanied by his mother.

The case has recently been branded with a dramatic twist after the minor’s father, Vishal Agarwal, who is a real estate businessman, and his father, Surendra Agarwal, got arrested. Some have alleged that they kidnapped the family’s driver and coerced him into claiming responsibility for the event.

In addition, three doctors, namely Dr Ajay Taware, head of the forensic medicine and toxicology department at Sassoon General Hospital, his subordinate Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and a 34-year-old employee, Atul Ghatkamble have been arrested for replacing the minor’s blood samples with those of his mother to escape detection of alcohol in his blood by claiming that he consumed alcohol before meeting the accident [111].

The police have learned that Vishal Agarwal and Dr. Taware communicated approximately ten or twelve times via telephone while the samples were being collected for alcohol levels. News sources said that Dr Halnor and Ghatkamble took ₹3 lahks from Dr. Taware, intending to manipulate the blood samples.

This unfortunate event took place around 10 PM on May 19 at Kalyani Nagar in Pune, where Porsche, which was being operated by the minor, hit a two-wheeler rider and his pillion passerby, killing both two IT professionals.

Police will soon interrogate the minor with the nearby mother to establish the actual details of this tragic incident that terrified the entire city.
