Punjab serial killer arrest: At the time of his arrest, he was dressed in a woman’s attire, stalking his victims.
Ram Saroop alias Sodhi, a serial killer of eleven men in Punjab, told the police that he had committed the murders to avenge deep emotional distress caused by derogatory remarks about his sexuality.
Ram Saroop, who allegedly targeted men on Punjab’s highways, reportedly told the police that he couldn’t come to terms with sexual slurs and innuendos about his sexuality and reacted to such acts violently. His deep emotional distress due to people’s reactions to his sexuality pushed him into killing 11 men over 18 months, reported India Today.
The channel reported that Sodhi used to dress like a woman to attract his victims. He would target men who insulted him or refused to pay for his sexual services.
According to the reports, the serial killer told the police that his last victim, 37-year-old Maninder Singh, had ridiculed his sexuality and made derogatory remarks about his body.
