Rahul Gandhi predicts struggle for NDA in third term

Less than two years into this term, with a general election due by May 2024, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi offered a blow for the BJP, suggesting that the NDA government under Prime Minister Modi could struggle to complete this third term.

Gandhi said the BJP lost its absolute majority by winning just 267 272 electoral seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The constituent of a coalition government makes it very frail.

The numbers are such that they are very fragile, and a small disturbance can cause the government to topple… In other words, one of the partners in the NDA has to look the other way, Gandhi said in the FT interview.

In general, the INDIA bloke of opposition was showing a better outcome with 234 seats compared to NDA, who had 293 seats in the Lok Sabha election.

It would be decided during this month, and this 44-year-old leader, Rahul Gandhi, who is expected to be Heralded as the new Opposition leader in the lower house of parliament, Lok Sabha, is back in the center stage of Indian politics.

Gandhi also said that the BJP, which lost the two previous polls, rode to victory with the plank of ‘fear and hatred’ turned down by the electorate in the latest polls. ”It which the Indian people have rejected in this elections,” he said.

The opposition in India has gained a stronger position, and the BJP has lost the majority, which means that the political context in the region is changing, which can be described as a “seismic transformation” in the country’s political structures.
