Rahul Gandhi seeks AAP’s support, challenges PM Modi to debate

The opposite was the show of bonhomie between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, when Rahul said he would vote for an AAP candidate if Kejriwal is contesting elections in Delhi. Still, Kejriwal has offered Rahul two of his seats to be contested by Gandhi.

At a massive rally in Delhi, with proceeds going for the INDIA bloc candidates, Gandhi said, “I will press the Congress button while Kejriwal will press the AAP button. We are all in this together.”

In addition, the former President of India also unveiled the second constituency’s vision sheet for Chandni Chowk at the rally. He exhorted the workers of the two parties to be united and fight as a single army in the battle for their alliance’s dominance in all seven Lok Sabha seats of the National Capital region.

To pit against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the key problems, Gandhi, he replied:

“I’m helping Modi to prepare against my words. I’m sure he won’t debate with me even if we talk for an hour, day, a week, or more.”

He said he would ask Modi about crony capitalism, inflation, unemployment, and farm issues.

Gandhi addressed Delhi, in this case, as the ”Brotherhood Capital,” where progress is made if there is brotherhood through love and union. He offered to implement the Goods and Services Tax (GST) [For simplicity] to help small businesses combat China’s market monopoly.

By the seat-sharing agreement, the Congress party has given the nod to three out of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, while AAP contests the remaining four of the seats. On May 25, the voters of the National Capital will cast their ballots for the fifth assembly of Lok Sabha. National Capital’s electoral polls will culminate in the declaration of results on June 4.
