Rahul Gandhi urges action in JD(S) leader’s sex scandal, writes to Karnataka CM

Through a letter by congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of Karnataka, leaders, you will heed a call that the sex scandal which involves JD(S) Mr.Prajwal Revanna should not receive a penny of ticket from the nationalist congress.

At this point, Gandhi stated that he felt very sorry for the victims and that justice should be taken in a very strict form against those who are responsible for the terrible crime.

In the letter, Gandhi highlighted what is necessary for victims to be helped and for justice to become an achievable goal. He wrote against sexual abuse and the moral immolation of all the women has suffered. 

Gandhi even blamed the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their alleged omissions, such as their supposed awareness of the sexual harassment charges against Nanjegowda Revanna and their support to the perpetrator.

This is what Gandhi meant when he said that above all these priorities, the moral duty of the Congress is always to fight for women’s rights. In his letter to the Prime Minister, he referred to the formation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Karnataka government as a separate probe body and requested the cancellation of Revanna’s diplomatic passport and his extradition to India.

Revanna, the JD(S) chief and grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Gowda was caught red-handed through videos that have been circulating depicting him sexually assaulting amounts of women. The state government has reissued the first lookout notice against him, and his case has been registered. Along with his father, they are also being charged.
