The Rajasthan government has officially revoked the allotment of a government bungalow to Cabinet Minister Kirori Lal Meena, as reported on Monday. This comes after Meena’s public criticisms of the BJP government led by Bhajanlal Sharma.
Sources indicated Meena had requested the General Administration Department (GAD) to cancel the allotment of bungalow number 3 on Hospital Road, which he is yet to occupy after its allotment to him in February last year.
“The allotment of the bungalow has been cancelled by the GAD,” a source said. Following the recent Lok Sabha elections, where Meena was upset with the party’s outcome, he resigned from his ministerial position; however, the resignation has not been officially accepted yet.
Moreover, owing to ill health, Meena has missed the assembly sessions. He also alleged phone tapping by the state government, which was denied by Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham in assembly session.
