Participating in the IAF’s ‘Tarang Shakti’ event, the largest multilateral air exercise held in Jodhpur, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stressed the importance of forming unity during conflict. He challenged his fellow friendly countries to deepen their cooperation processes in response to changing world realities.
”While there is competition and wars around the world, the focus of India is to walk with a hand,”
Singh said, as reports emerge on India as the mediator in the negotiation between Russia and Ukraine.
For its part, the minister highlighted future cooperation on high-tech operations and pointed out that such joint training—as the well-executed Tarang Shakti—is not only about achieving operational gains but also about strengthening trust among the participating states. Singh had also invited foreign dignitaries to seek information on India’s aerospace sector, which focuses on defense manufacturing.
He also declared the commencement of the India Defense Aviation Exposition (IDAX) 2024, which will bring new-age technologies for resolving today’s military issues. It was accompanied by the Sarang helicopter display team and the aircraft display team Surya Kiran.
Some of the participants who were present included the Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and CDS General Anil Chauhan, to name but a few. Thus, the event highlighted the importance of India’s defence transformation.
