Report: Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya, who gave a kidney to the former chief minister of Bihar, could run in the Lok Sabha elections.

The embellishments of the grapevine are not only about one of the late Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi family members by the name of Rumours are rife that Rohini Acharya may soon enter politics. The buzz soared when Mr RJD Saran district committed to approaching the party office to get Ms Rohini fielded as the party contender in the district’s next election.

Singapore is her current residence, where she married an IT professional and is the mother of handsome boys. Scenarios like his are indispensable for him. Last year, when he was sick, she somehow found the compassion to donate him a kidney as a very special, selfless act of love. Her elder brothers, who are vocal critics of PM Modi, much like hers, will be inflamed as social media posts boost the RJD agenda.

The fact that Dr Alok was born and raised in a political clan and is set to succeed Mr Tejashwi, Mr Tej Pratap, and Ms Misa Bharti speaks volumes for Dr Alok. This did not distract her from the social issues, as she adorned his leadership potential, raising another question of whether it was accurate or not. In the meantime, there is still no official announcement that Rohini herself, who is generally known for being soft-spoken, is keeping her cards so close to her chest.

If she is contesting, it has made her another story in the cut-throat zone of Bihar’s politics. Being the celebrity child of two veteran politicians, all the eyes will be glued to how she holds her space and adapts to what might be an upheaval in Yadav’s family fiefdom for so many years. The air is thickening with optimism on whether, for the tribe, politics will soon be with them.
