S. Jaishankar attends first India-GCC meeting in Saudi Arabia

India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, reached Saudi Arabia to attend the first India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The visit involves envisaged bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of the GCC member nations, according to the MEA.

The GCC is a political and economic organization of the Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman. The MEA stated the importance of the bilateral relations between both parties and illustrated cooperation in political, trade, energy, and cultural sectors and friendly people-to-people relations.
