S. Jaishankar criticizes UPA Government for accepting terrorism

Foreign minister S Jaishankar has criticized the defense forces of the UPA era as a defensive period of governance. He leveled charges that they were “supporters of terrorism” for the inaction exhibited by them after the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. Dwelling upon his personal experience, the then government chose not to attack Pakistan, and the price of the act was cited as a reason implicating the decision.

The minister stressed the significance of implementing infrastructure, supplying the armed forces, and setting procedures for implementing the threats. He argued that the well-being of one nation should be his first motto, as it can make a dispute with another nation.

Jaishankar also highlighted “Mr. Modi’s Guarantee,” indicating that this concept cuts beyond national boundaries and represents a principle regarding which there is no doubt. Finally, Mr. Modi said

India had been tasked with the responsibility of sheltering Indian citizens in conflicts internationally, pinpointing the recent examples in Ukraine, Sudan, and Israel.

The minister was proud of India’s capabilities to defend its borders and interests. He mentioned that they had gone from a permissive India to an India that is bold, confident, and lives up to its responsibility. He revealed that India’s defense exports field is growing, BrahMos missiles being only an example.
