Sachin Pilot visits farmer’s house in Tonk, addresses concerns

Rural women welcomed Sachin Pilot with traditional songs, and he was seen wearing rural attire. Jaipur: Congress General Secretary and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot continued his tour of the Tonk Assembly Constituency in Rajasthan for the second day on Thursday.

He visited several villages, including Baroni, Govindpura (Hatouna), Charai (Soran), and Chimanpura (Bamor), where he interacted with local residents. Sachin Pilot also visited the site where the Mini Food Park at Sonwa (Tonk) was under construction.

Sachin Pilot spent the night on Wednesday in Chimanpura village, at the residence of farmer Ratan Bairwa, ahead of his stay. At night, he joined the locals for the chaupal and took heed of their problems.

The rural women greeted Sachin Pilot with traditional songs. He was seen wearing rural attire on the occasion. Tonk MLA earlier on Wednesday expressed grave concern over the performance of the BJP government and said that despite having been in power for more than a year, no effective step was taken on major issues like employment, inflation, and law and order that BJP had promised to address.

Mr. Pilot said atrocities on women have increased, and youths are apprehensive about promises made on government recruitments and said that public faith in the BJP has significantly eroded.

In his speech, Mr Pilot reflected on the legacy of the Congress government at the Centre, which empowered citizens through initiatives like MNREGA, the Right to Information, the Right to Education, and the Right to Medical Care.
