Search operation continues to track terrorists behind Poonch attack

The search operation to apprehend the terrorists involved in the attack on an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district has entered its second day. On May 4, the convoy was ambushed, resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to four others, who were later admitted to a military hospital. The joint efforts of the Army and police are underway in various areas, including Shahsitar, Gursai, Sanai, and Sheendara Top, to locate and neutralize the terrorists.

According to officials, the terrorists are suspected to have escaped into a nearby forest following the attack. Despite ongoing combing operations conducted by security personnel, there has been no direct contact with the terrorists thus far. The operation remains active as the security forces intensify their efforts to bring the culprits to justice.

The attack has raised concerns about the prevailing security situation in the region, as authorities aim to prevent further acts of terrorism. The authorities are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the area and will continue their relentless pursuit of the perpetrators.

The search operation serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the security forces in safeguarding the lives of the citizens and maintaining peace in the region.
