Two workers of a real estate firm have been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a car after drugging her food and beverages. The persons allegedly involved in the act are Janardhan and Sanga, for which the Miyapur police station has registered a complaint to arrest the culprits.
Investigating officers say the woman left her home to work as a salesperson in Miyapur on June 30. The two men both worked in the same company that provided real estate services, and they both met her, according to the allegations, at the said company before they decided to give her a ride in their car.
The woman alleges the men took her to a location in Yadagirigutta where they said their car had developed a fault. According to her, they then encouraged her to take a cold drink and a sweet, which she did. It should be noted that after taking the described food items, a woman felt sick and unbalanced, based on which she can assume that something was added.
The accused men are said to have taken advantage of that and stripped the woman and raped her all night from June 30 to early July 1. It also reveals that the woman suffered extreme physical pain and was dumped at her hostel by the culprits before they escaped.
A confirmation of the occurrence of the incident and apprehension of the two employees of the real estate firm came through a statement issued by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The police have deposited a case of rape against the accused to receive further investigation.
The influencing event has again stirred the observation that it is high time to strengthen the protection of women in the country. Governments have always promised that the specific incident under discussion will be handled as a serious case, and the culprits will be made to face the law for their cruelty.
