The autopsy report of former merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput has come out with startling revelations regarding his grisly murder, which was purportedly plotted by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her co-accused, Sahil Shukla. Both accused are already arrested and in judicial custody.
According to police reports, the heinous crime was carried out on March 4, when Saurabh was allegedly drugged by Muskan before she and Shukla repeatedly stabbed him to death. In a ghastly twist, the couple dismembered his body, sealing the parts in a drum using cement. They proceeded to deceive Saurabh’s family by sending false messages from his phone as they embarked on a journey to Himachal Pradesh.
The autopsy report paints a grisly picture of the savagery perpetrated on Saurabh. The 29-year-old’s head had been severed, both hands had been cut off at the wrist, and his legs had been bent backward, indicating an attempt to fit his body into the drum. Death from shock and massive blood loss was cited as the cause of his death, and the report confirmed that Saurabh had been stabbed three times forcefully in the heart.
City Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh confirmed the post-mortem report, stating, “Muskan ruthlessly stabbed Saurabh in his heart, piercing it. His neck was slashed, and both palms were cut off. The body was chopped into four parts to fit it within the drum.”
The medical staff that participated in the examination reported the grisly efforts to conceal the body. The drum, which was filled with dust and cement, had hardened the remains and prevented them from decaying. “The body hardened in the cement and did not decay because there was no air. The odor was not overwhelmingly bad,” described one of the medical staff. Extraction of the body parts included cutting through the drum and scrapping off the hardened cement.
Muskan and Saurabh married in 2016 after a courtship that was vehemently resisted by his relatives. The couple has a six-year-old daughter. Muskan and Sahil, classmates at school, reconnected on WhatsApp in 2019, and the consequences thereof led to this tragic outcome.
