Salman Khan was reportedly present at his residence when the attack took place. Following the incident, security has been beefed up outside the actor’s home, with the Mumbai Police deploying multiple teams to investigate the matter.

The Bandra Police have registered a case against an unknown person over the firing incident. Meanwhile, the crime branch, local police, and forensic experts have visited the spot and recovered the spent bullet casings for further analysis.

The attack comes amid ongoing threats to Salman Khan’s life from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a notorious criminal syndicate. Bishnoi, who is currently behind bars, and his associate Goldie Brar have repeatedly threatened to target the actor over the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Khan was convicted.

In 2018, Bishnoi’s aide Sampat Nehra even conducted a recce of Khan’s residence, although he was arrested before he could carry out the planned attack. The Mumbai Police have since been on high alert, providing the actor with armed security personnel and a personal weapon license for his safety.

The latest incident has once again highlighted the ongoing security challenges faced by Salman Khan, who remains one of the most prominent and influential figures in the Indian film industry. As the investigation progresses, the authorities are determined to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the actor’s continued safety.
