Six soldiers injured in landmine blast in Rajouri, J&K

Six soldiers were injured in a landmine blast in Nowshera in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The blast had occurred at 10:45 AM when one of the soldiers accidentally stepped over the landmine.

Reports quoting news agency PTI stated that the injured personnel have been evacuated to a nearby hospital and their condition is stable.

The forward areas of Jammu and Kashmir have often been rigged with landmines as part of the anti-infiltration mechanism in this sensitive state.
