As the Indian people look forward to casting their vote as the Lok Sabha results on June 4th, the senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is optimistic about the last outcome of the polls despite any unfavorable exit poll results.
Addressing the PTI during a function to pay homage to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi on his birthday, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi remarked, ”We are very much positive over our result against the exit polls survey.”
The former Congress president’s remarks came when the exit polls suggested a sweep for Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties. Many polls have been conducted that have predicted that the NDA is likely to win more than 400 seats out of the total 543 constituencies of the Lok Sabha.
But Sonia Gandhi did not lose hope and courage. She said the following words for the disappointment and pessimism of her party and their allies in the INDIA bloc that did not believe in the exit polls, saying that they were only a ‘fantasy’, the Congress and its allies will form the next government.
Sonia Gandhi, who was present at the function held at Anna-Kalaignar Arivalayam, was very vocal in expressing her grief over M Karunanidhi’s demise, stating that “I had the opportunity to meet him many times and listen to him, to the wealth of his wisdom and his advice, which was invaluable to me. I am privileged to have known him. ”
Congress party which strongly believes in its fortunes, the given exit poll projections mean high stake and fierce contest marked by the political campaigning that had taken place in the Lok Sabha elections. While the entire nation waits with bated breath for the last results, the country is set for another most important and suspenseful result in the political map of the country.
