Supreme Court closes proceedings on Mukhtar Ansari’s Appeal against conviction

The Supreme Court has pronounced an end to Mukhtar Ansari’s legal dress rehearsal, in which he gained popular fame as a gangster-turned-statesman politician, by shutting down his bid to pardon him in a 24-year-old current case. Ansari, who has been behind bars for a long time of five years, as ordered by the Allahabad High Court, got his life subtracted on March 28 by way of a cardiac arrest. The bench, which was led by the two justices, Bela M Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal, gave us the sad news about the death of Ansari.
