The Law Minister of Tamil Nadu has given a statement, in the last few days, that BJP has exercised pressure on the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to begin activities meant to degrade the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party and instill fear in it. The Minister of the DMK argues that this development is a deliberate attempt to attract the opposition voters through character assassination of his party before the coming elections.
The controversy brought about by the Law Minister consists of imputations, which have sparked a political debate about the possible misuse of government agencies for political gains.
The BJP has no comment on these accusations from the other office, expressing that the NCB works independently and is dedicated to dousing the illegal substances wave without any sort of political discrimination. A rather unsettling political scene is emerging in Tamil Nadu around the contentions of these claims ahead of the elections.
