Teen in Uttar Pradesh dies by suicide after gaming dispute

A new dark story comes from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, where a 16-year-old boy was found hanged dead due to a physical clash with his parents with regard to video gaming. Anand Kishore, a class 10 student, was reported to be addicted to the Free Fire game; most of the time, he did not study, which worried his family.

In the police confession, Anand’s mother used to rebuke him for spending many hours gaming and demanded he study for his academics. After one evening of a quarrel, the only male child in the house was found hanging in the bathroom. His corpse was found with the help of his mother when she decided to wake him up after some time.

An antagonist to the first version, a family member, claimed that Anand had wanted to scare his mother by hanging himself with a noose around his neck; however, it got tighter than intended. Lalit, a relative, informed us that, owing to continued construction work at the house, the teenager has also been away from school for several days.

He was into Free Fire mostly, and his mother would constantly remind him to study; in a bid to discipline her, one day, he tied the rope around his neck and choked to death.

Anand’s father works in Gujarat, and relatives observed that he was pampered at home since he was a single boy child. This family member pointed out that Anand was used to having his own way; he would sulk and then have his way most of the time.

A police officer said: ‘Anand hanged himself because his mother forced him to go to school. ’ Enquiries on the circumstances under which this sad incident occurred are still running.
