In a recent statement, Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, has stirred the political arena by asserting that the “people of BJP are in depression.” Referencing the party’s ambitious slogan of securing 400-plus seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Yadav cheekily remarked that their “film” has flopped.
While interacting with news agency ANI, Tejashwi Yadav quipped, “‘400 ki film flop ho chuki hai’ (the film of 400 seats has flopped).” He further expressed his belief that the entire country has embraced the mood that the INDIA alliance government will come to power. Yadav emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence or absence in Bihar would have no significant impact as the people have made up their minds.
Not sparing any words, Tejashwi Yadav also launched a scathing attack on Jitan Ram Manjhi, the former Chief Minister of Bihar and founder of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). Yadav expressed surprise at Manjhi’s recent statement suggesting that the INDIA alliance government, if formed, would work to divide the nation like Pakistan. Tejashwi criticized Manjhi, remarking that he quickly adopted the language and ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist organization.
Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks fuel the already intense political rivalry between the RJD and the BJP in Bihar. These statements will likely shape the political landscape and trigger further confrontations and strategic moves in the coming days.
