A 30-year-old man from Maharashtra‘s Thane district is currently hospitalized after sustaining injuries to his private parts, inflicted by a woman wielding a metal spatula. The incident took place on Friday in the Bhiwandi area, where the man, identified as Anil Satyanarayan Raccha, allegedly made unwanted advances toward a 26-year-old woman at her home.
According to reports, Raccha and the woman were acquainted. On the afternoon of the incident, Raccha reportedly arrived at the woman’s residence and attempted to make sexual advances, even allegedly exposing himself. In response, the woman quickly grabbed a metal spatula from the kitchen and struck Raccha, injuring his genitals.
Following the attack, the injured Raccha was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Police officials have confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Raccha based on the woman’s complaint.
The charges include sections on outraging the modesty of a woman, sexual harassment, and trespassing under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
As of now, Raccha has not been taken into custody due to his hospitalization. This case bears a striking resemblance to a recent incident in Bihar’s Saran district, where a woman reportedly attacked and severed the private parts of a man who allegedly refused to marry her.
In that case, the woman claimed the man had exploited her under the pretext of marriage. She was later taken into custody, and a blood-stained knife was recovered from the scene.
Both incidents highlight a disturbing trend of women resorting to extreme measures in response to perceived exploitation and harassment, raising significant concerns about the social and legal dynamics at play.
