Tragic Boat Capsizing in Jhelum River: Search operation underway for missing individuals

Search members are inexhaustible in their operations to locate the Jhelum River after a terrible happening happened on April 10, a situation that has witnessed six people getting killed and three persons going missing. The catastrophic accident happened in the river when a vessel hit capsizing, urging the existing jurisdiction to respond swiftly and timely.

As the day became clear, the SDFR, NDFR, and J&K police teamed up to dig into their search efforts. CISF commandos, like the Indian Navy’s elite marine commandos, known as MARCOS, have likewise played an important role in the effort.

The authorities have reported that the boat was notorious for being dangerous; they carried mainly scholars on Tuesday when the boat overturned in the Gandbal, Nowgam area. In the cities of extreme rain in the Kashmir valley, six persons were rescued from the violence wave, although it was difficult to do so. Alas, six of our friends went too soon in this event.

The head bureaucracy from the police and civil authorities, comprising the divisional commissioner of Kashmir, inspector general of police, entire commissioner of Srinagar, and the senior superintendent of police, Srinagar, has been closely monitoring the whole rescue operation and providing the supervisory guidance through the whole.

During the current search effort, the community stands as one and is optimistic about finding the missing persons safe while encouraging the families affected by this awful incident.
