Tragic bus-truck collision in UP: 8 dead, 19 injured

It involved ramming into a truck. As many as 40 persons on the bus were left mangled in the early hours of Friday. Police and teams responsible for rescuing emergencies rushed to the accident site and shifted the injured people to Saifai Medical College for treatment.

A bus collides head-on with a truck: This particular accident occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Sakarava police station area near the Auraiya border in Kannauj district. Eight are dead, and 19 got injured.

The bus, carrying 40 people, crashed into the truck early on Friday morning. Police and emergency teams were going to the place and taking the injured to the Saifai Medical College for medical attention.
District officials, including the DM and SP, visited the site and supervised the rescue operations. While passing, Water Resources Minister Swatantra Dev Singh stopped and rushed the injured to hospitals.

On Sunday, a bus and a water tanker collided on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The bus was traveling from Lucknow to Delhi. “Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received,” said Kannauj Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar.
