The series of fatal road accidents continued when two farmers died, and two others were critically injured in a severe accident in UP on Sunday night in which a courier van hit a tractor-trolley on a village road.
As per the police version, the incident happened on the Bhamora police station’s road when the farmers took the chilly on tractor trolley to Devchara market.
Circle Officer Nilesh Mishra informed that after the accident, the victims Rajveer (52) and Shishpal (65) tumbled down the tractor-trolley, and as a result, the courier van ran over them. They were washed out and died at the scene due to injuries.
Another two farmers broke their legs in the accident. Chaman Maurya and Jahoor Ahmed have been hospitalized, Mishra added.
The courier van driver involved in this sad occurrence is said to have escaped from the scene. It is leaving it to the police to investigate the incident and search for the driver who took to his heels.
This catastrophic incident has now raised the concern of farmers in the United States, who are forced to drive on hazardous roads and surfaces during their duty.
It has been recommended that the authorities act without further delay to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place for this important part of society.
