A tragedy struck in Agra when, reportedly, a Flight Lieutenant serving in the Indian Air Force died by committing suicide. If that was not enough, the situation was further aggravated when his wife, an officer serving in the Army, hanged herself to death in a guest house in the Delhi Cantonment area.
The police recovered a suicide note written by Renu Tanwar, wherein she stated, “I want to be cremated together, hand-in-hand.” Deep, a resident of Bihar was posted at the Air Force Station in Agra, while Renu was staying at Garouta Officers Guest House in Delhi Cantonment. The love marriage between the two took place in 2022 and seemed happy.
Details about the incident’s timeline reveal that Deep took this extreme measure on Monday night, while Renu did the same the next day. On Wednesday, the Delhi Police came to know about the tragic incident while finding that Renu’s body was hanging from a ceiling fan inside the guest house the previous night.
The reasons behind Deep’s suicide are still uncertain as police have to investigate the roots of this tragic incident.
