Unruly passenger faces FIR for disturbing Dubai-Mangaluru flight

An FIR has been registered against a passenger who exhibited unruly behaviour during a flight from Dubai to Mangaluru. The complaint was prompted by an Air India Express crew member. The flight’s security coordinator, Siddharth Das, filed the complaint against Mohammad BC at the Bajpe police station.

According to the police, the incident occurred on the morning of May 9, and the FIR was lodged the same evening. Mohammed had travelled from Dubai to Mangalore on an Air India Express flight, arriving at Mangalore International Airport at 7:30 a.m. the following day.

During the flight, Mohammed entered the restroom and, upon exiting, approached the crew with inquiries about an individual named Krishna, who was not listed as a passenger on that flight. He allegedly behaved in an unruly manner, causing disturbances and inconvenience to the crew and fellow passengers. Moreover, he threatened to jump into the sea from the aircraft, endangering others.

The passenger also harassed the crew by asking irrelevant questions and repeatedly pressing the service button without a valid reason. He even removed his life jacket, handed it to the crew, and expressed his intention to use it upon landing. He expressed a desire to pilot the aircraft over the Arabian Sea.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
