US sanctions Israeli settlers over West Bank violence

In an attempt to counter the murder and turmoil increasing in the occupied territories of Palestine or the West Bank as it is commonly known, the United States government has declared new measures involving several Israel settlers and related groups shortly.

The sanctions, announced by the US Department of State and the Department of the Treasury, target Israeli individuals Isachar Manne, Reut Ben Haim, and Aviad Shlomo Sarid, as well as four illegal Israeli settlement outposts: There is Manne Farm, Meitarim Farm, Hamahoch Farm and Neriya’s Farm.

The US has also included Lehava, an umbrella group of the settlers in its list, which is regarded as the “largest violent extremists group in the Occupied Territory of Palestine with a membership strength of more than ten thousand.

The Constitutional State Department spokesman Matthew Miller noted the concern of the United States at ‘the persistent acts of extremism and violence in the West Bank threatening Israel’s security’ and called for the Israeli administration to act against the said persons and organizations.

This makes any money, stocks, or other assets the identified persons and companies may have in the US inaccessible to them and prevents Americans from doing business with them. However, it has vowed to continue its actions, which it criticized when the US designated it as a terror group.

Thus, the growth of the illegitimate Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank is another stimulus to observe the impossibility of a sustainable peace agreement with the Palestinians under the two-state solution, as it is unlawful.
