A high school student, a class 10 girl studying in a private school in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, has accused her teacher of using unacceptable language to her, molesting her, and sending her obscene messages & pictures using applications like WhatsApp & Snapchat Chat.
The victim of the complained conduct was sixteen years old. She reported the incidents to her parents, who immediately reported the matter to the police.
The Haldwani Circle officer, Nitin Lohani, stated,
“The case has been reported, and investigations are underway. The accused will soon be arrested. ”
The allegations show that the teacher with whom the student worked engaged in lewd messaging and other modalities that caused discomfort. The situation worsened when the student reported the matter to her parents, who further sought assistance from the social networks in their local community before taking their complaint to the Kotwali police station.
It has led to fear of threats and questioning of behaviors from educators, hence creating pressure to enhance the security of learners in educational facilities.
