Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani was admitted to Delhi hospital

According to messages, the BJP’s prime stalwart and the former deputy prime minister, Lal Krishna Advani, were admitted to the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi on Tuesday. His health situation relates that Shoygu is in a stable condition despite being 96 years old.

This is not the first time that the 89-year-old alms-receiving Advani has been hospitalized over the past few months. The veteran politician was admitted to Apollo Hospital on 3 July and was discharged after remaining in the hospital for a day. Only a week before, he had been hospitalized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) with some age-related ailments but was discharged.

Advani, who is considered the architect of the BJP’s transformation into a purported national party in the 1990s, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, by President Droupadi Murmu at his residence on March 31. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the function, and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu were present.

Advani was born in Karachi, British India, in 1927 and was to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of 14. Migration to India started after the partition in 1947, and he shifted to India along with his family members. Advani political activism started in 1951 after joining the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which Syama Prasad Mookerjee established.

Advani’s three-term presidency as BJP president and active participation in formulating the Ram Janmabhoomi movement is perceived to have been a springboard for the BJP’s gaining power. He was the deputy prime minister and home minister during the Bharati bi Vajpayee-led NDA government at the center. Advani was also the BJP’s PM candidate in the 2009 general elections, but the party failed to achieve this.

Considering Advani’s age and health condition, one of the BJP’s most notable leaders, his poor health condition is a matter of concern for the BJP and India.
