As the country waits to hear the verdict of the most talked-about parliamentary elections of 2024, prominent psychologist and politician Yogendra Yadav has made his final and last poll prediction about the upcoming affair. Yadav’s prediction pointed towards the probability of BJP+ systematically sweeping the nation and possibly dooming the Congress party’s rebound.
Moreover, based on some mathematical modeling by Yadav, the BJP will likely get between 240 to 260 seats. At the same time, other coalition partners could win between 35 to 45, which would mean, depending on the outcomes.
The ruling coalition could even sneak in a clear majority in the 543-seat Lok Sabha. This projection can be compared with the estimations given by political strategist Prashant Kishor and an international affairs expert, Ian Bremmer.
Kishor, who has been appreciated and criticized for his reviews about the polls, has supported Yadav’s seat figures and said that the BJP-led NDA will likely win between 275 and 305 seats. On the other hand, Yadav expected the Congress performance to inch up from the 2019 debacle, possibly even clinching between 85 and 100 seats.
However, about the wannabe grouping INDIA, which has been planned to take on the incumbency of BJP, the projected seats are a dismal 120-135.
While the nation waits for the results, important trends among the political actors can be clearly seen, which political pundits and commentators will surely follow; Yogendra Yadav’s contribution makes this analysis important.
