West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee injured in accident, TMC confirms

The medical team of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has confirmed that the chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, has sustained a severe injury in an unexpected accident. The event which took place after arriving home from a programme held in Ballygunge of South Kolkata is what I am referring to here. Currently, the hospital states that the patient is 69 years old. She fell and struck her head against a furniture.

Pictures shared by TMC on social media, which portray Banerjee with a bleeding forehead, excite fears over the seriousness of her head injury. The party reverberated a request to the citizens to keep the premier minister in the prayers.

After being admitted to an SSKM state-run health facility in Kolkata, Banerjee is presently getting the treatment she needs. With the news of her sudden hospitalization, wishes from political leaders from all parties shone through as well. West Bengal’s state BJP president announced that he is looking forward to seeing Banerjee get back to good health as soon as possible.

Reports of the accident and how seriously Banerjee has been injured are yet uncertain. The occurrence has created some doubts and discussions about its influence on the political situation of West Bengal, considering that Banerjee is the state’s renowned political leader.
