YouTuber arrested for trespassing and false claims at Bengaluru Airport

A YouTuber residing in Bengalooru, who is only 23 years of age, landed himself in trouble when the police arrested him for the accusation of trespasser and that he was a fabricator of untold lies after interfering with things at Kempegowda International Airport. A citizen from the Yelahanka region, Vikas Gowda, stayed at the airport on April 7, 2020 with a ticket for Air India’s flight bound to Chennai, deciding not to get through the flight. Joyfully, he phoned his parents and recorded a video of his back, saying that he was going on business trips, not on holidays.

Security staff were confessing to their superior that they had never even considered the possibility that the young man could have defected from his group and then posted the video on his YouTube channel, proudly declaring that he had spent an entire day at the airport, and had even explored the restricted areas without getting caught by the security. Nonetheless, he later followed up with the extinguishing of those clips.

Enquiries at the airport showed that Gowda spent for about six hours at the airport before leaving and giving the explanation that he missed his flight to the security staff. His having a real ticket and showing on his boarding pass let him to no trouble during the thorough checking of the tickets at that point.

Authorities think that Gowda’s actions might have been nothing more than a vanity quest for publicity, since the video he made was proof of the allegations he was making but its authenticity was questionable. The police were provoked to arrest him after he was shown hiding behind a wall on a feeder channel of the floodplain in a Central Industrial Security Force official by the complaint. Under Sections 505 of the Indian Penal Code (Statements Conducting Public Mischief) and 448 (House Tresspass).

This accident has led to the considerations on security of airports and the hazards connected with the individuals who may have other reasons such as getting attention among others.
