Alaya F opened the doors to her Mumbai abode recently and gave Architectural Digest India a tour of a serene, beautifully designed white-and-pink-themed space, accompanied by her beloved pet dog MJ. The actress invited the Architectural Digest India team into her “hustle home,” she cherishes, as a stepping stone toward her dream home.
As one enters, one can feel the tranquil atmosphere. Soft baby pink color door leads into a peaceful open area surrounded by lush greenery. Inside the airy living room is done in white tones that gives a warm welcoming feel. As Alaya explains, her house is full of “peace, love, comfort, and good vibes,” which gives one a real sense of one’s personal haven.
The living area is equipped with a U-shaped couch and an elegant chandelier that flows into the dining space. There is a shelf that holds all her awards, something she proudly refers to as “the fruits of my labour.” Beautiful pieces of art are scattered around the house, including a dedicated wall for her personal artwork.
Continuing the minimalist theme, the bedroom has white furniture and walls, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Most of the furniture is from her family’s store, giving it a personal touch. Interestingly, Alaya completed the whole house without seeing it physically, relying only on her feelings about the design and location. Large windows with views of green fields add to the peaceful atmosphere.
Books hold a special significance for Alaya, who proudly displayed autobiographies from her family, including those of her grandfather, Kabir Bedi, and grandmother, Protima Bedi, along with her great-grandmother Freida Bedi’s book. These literary treasures highlight the importance of family stories in her life.
Known for her dedication to fitness, Alaya has been showing off her yoga room, which is also a fitting room, in the house. It reflects her active lifestyle and blends wellness with practicality. Her dream home is still in the planning stages, but she has already created a glamorous wardrobe room, complete with ample storage and a chic vanity table.
Alaya collaborated with her interior designer to curate every detail in her home to ensure that it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. They selected wallpapers meticulously to create a better overall design, keeping in mind spaces that are comfortable and ideal for content creation.
