Alia Bhatt looked drop-dead gorgeous, like a perfect muse from the Raj Kapoor films, in her all-white saree with multi-colored floral prints. The look was a tribute to the great filmmaker, who loved the color white, and a very Sabyasachi piece.
Styled by ace fashion stylist Ami Patel, Alia paired the expensive saree with a signature Sabyasachi V-neck blouse. She kept her look elegantly minimal, pairing the ensemble with a pearl choker necklace to pull off a vintage-serene look that defines her style. Alia in a Sabyasachi saree is a match made in heaven, as the pairing celebrates her love for all things minimalistic.
Complementing his wife’s look, Ranbir Kapoor looked effortlessly dapper in a custom velvet Sherwani by Faraz Manan with crisp white pants. The man is styled by Usaamah Siddique. A very distinct statement of his would be the moustache echoing the signature style of his grandfather Raj Kapoor.
The couple went ahead and posed for the cameras at the RK Film Festival, organized to celebrate the 100 glorious years of Raj Kapoor’s legacy. They warmly received family and friends on the red carpet, creating unforgettable moments.
Joining Alia and Ranbir were Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who looked stunning in their respective salwar suits. The four exchanged pleasantries, and Alia shared a special moment with the timeless star Rekha, who dazzled in her signature gold kanjeevaram silk saree.
It was a family and friends’ affair from the Hindi film industry on the RK Film Festival red carpet, with prominent faces such as Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Babita, Randhir Kapoor, Rima Jain, Karisma Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Navya Nanda, and many more in attendance.
As a mega gesture, PVR has joined hands with the Film Heritage Foundation to re-release Raj Kapoor’s films in around 101 cinemas across 34 cities. The RK Film Festival will go on till December 15, 2024, as a celebration for one of the all-time great icons of Indian cinema.
