Alia Bhatt dazzles in fuchsia lehenga at Manish Malhotra’s Diwali bash

Alia Bhatt turned up the heat in more ways than one this festive season as she went celebrating at designer Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party in Mumbai on October 22, 2024, in the now-iconic fuchsia pink lehenga she had worn at her mehendi. The creation of ace couturier Manish Malhotra, this outfit reflected Alia’s effervescent personality, the perfect way to go bold at a star-studded gathering.

Having married Ranbir Kapoor in April this year in a close-knit affair, Alia wore the same lehenga once again to showcase great work from Malhotra with over 3,000 hours of handwork. The lehenga features exquisite Kashmiri and Chikankari embroidery celebrating the artistry of the Mijwan women.

At the Diwali event, sister Shaheen Bhatt joined Alia, looking elegant in a pastel ensemble courtesy of Malhotra. As Alia walked towards the festive backdrop at the designer’s residence, the memories of her mehendi ceremony were brought back, more so as Manish shared images to celebrate the detailed work behind this masterpiece.

This wedding lehenga was designed sustainably, with close to 180 patches of the textile, signaling a joyous occasion. Alia paired the lehenga with a blouse adorned with real gold and silver nakshi and kora flowers and vintage gold sequins from Kutch, Gujarat.

To complete her desi-bohemian look, Alia wore contemporary chandbali earrings and kadas. Styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel, her chic bun was made by Amit Thakur, while Puneet Saini did fresh and minimal makeup. Alia looked every inch a beauty who can be the right amalgamation of festive vibes, while her style was just what the Diwali fashion mood board requires.

Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party was nothing less than a spiritual experience with a who’s who of Bollywood turning up, resplendent in his heavenly creations. Ananya Panday, Kajol, Rekha, Punit Malhotra, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Kusha Kapila, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shriya Saran, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shamita Shetty, Abhay Deol, Angad Bedi, Urmila Matondkar, Sanya Malhotra, and Kanika Kapoor-one after the other emerged for the party, each carrying their peculiar style in a different array of stunning outfits.
