Amyra Dastur is having fun in the beautiful Maldives. The travel enthusiast keeps her followers updated about all the details on social media. An avid social media user, she recently posted snippets from her trip, including an exciting scuba diving session in which she showed the marine life beneath the waves.

In one viral underwater video, Amyra explores a colorful world teeming with coral reefs, several turtles, and an array of dazzling fish. “As wild as the ocean. As free as the sea,” she says with accompanying shots of her underwater adventure. She also shouts to her accommodation, “The Westin Maui is part of the UNESCO Biosphere.”

The Marine life I saw was a lifetime treat that can never be forgotten! On that day, we spotted 4-5 turtles and umpteen varieties of fish. Our Westin guide made our trip easy and memorable; we found these beautiful creatures until we had enough,” she shared.

In 2011, the Baa Atoll, although a coral reef because of its extraordinary marine diversity situated just north of the Kashidhoo Kandhoo channel, was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. A diver’s paradise, it boasts more than 250 species of marine life and is home to the world’s greatest concentration of manta rays.

One adventure that will surely inspire others to plan a trip to this land of enchantment is Amyra Dastur’s scuba diving escapade.
