Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are back in the headlines after their recent visit to Shri Hit Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj’s ashram with their kids. The power couple was spotted leaving Mumbai for Alibaug, and their casual streetwear has become the talk of the town.
There was a viral video that showed Anushka and Virat exiting their car near the Gateway of India, both seeming intent to get to Alibaug aboard a ferry. The couple made no attempt at interacting with the paparazzi waiting for them, but her choice of clothing spoke volumes: Anushka hastened indoors, followed in quick succession upstairs by Virat himself.
Anushka sported a blue pinstripe shirt casually laid over a classic white crew neck T-shirt she had tucked into high-waisted black linen shorts. The shirt was with folded cuffs and side slits, not buttoned up, and relaxed. She kept her accessories to a minimum: contrasting pink buckle slip-on shoes, sunglasses, stacked bracelets, and a vintage gold watch. Going all natural, Anushka ditched the makeup and instead added color with glossy pink lips.
Virat, for his part, wore an all-black outfit that perfectly complemented Anushka’s. Virat sported a super relaxed black jogger set that included a crew-necked sweatshirt paired with matching sweatpants in a very comfy design. The joggers were flared at the hem and had that baggy fit; he paired them with slip-on sandals and white socks. Accessories included a smart baseball cap, a watch, and a bracelet.
Together, Anushka-Virat proved that streetwear could be chic and comfortable, too, setting an example for casual fashion.
