Bhumi Pednekar stuns in raw mango saree

Bhumi Pednekar’s aw mango glass armor saree is far from a traditional drape.

Experimenter of sorts, known for experimenting with sartorial sensibilities, Bhumi Pednekar recently owned the red carpet at GQ Best Dressed Awards 2024 as she dazzled in a glass armor saree by Raw Mango.

The highlight piece was distinct in that it had a snake breastplate coiled with two bronze gold cobras near the bust and an impressive protruding belly design.

Traditional armor is essentially worn only by Theyyam dancers of South India, who use it to invoke the voice and spirit of the divine.

Underneath the breastplate, Bhumi wore a strapless white blouse with a lehenga-like white saree, adding elegance to the overall appearance.

The saree’s pallu was left loose – like it had assumed the functionality of a train that swept graciously along the floor behind the actress.

Bhumi Pednekar added more accessories with glass bangles on one hand and a gold snake bracelet on the other, with custom snake ear cuffs, sleek hath phool, and a pair of stylish stilettos. Bhumi Pednekar is indeed a true blue fashionista.

She had worn sustainable fashion goals by wearing a skirt made from a repurposed rug. Her haute couture ensemble was from Georges Hobeika’s Spring 2024 collection. Bhumi styled it with a turtleneck full-sleeved green top.
