Exploring IVF Before Sex: A Path to Parenthood

Choosing IVF before sexual intercourse – a new trend in assisted reproduction

The field of assisted reproduction has witnessed significant advancements in recent years. One such novel approach gaining traction is opting for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) even before initiating unprotected sexual intercourse.

Usually, IVF is considered a last resort for couples struggling with infertility issues after exhausting other treatment options. However, experts say an increasing number of prospective parents are directly opting for IVF to start their families.

For some, biological clocks are ticking faster than usual. Concerns over fertility decline post 35 years of age are prompting many to bypass conventional methods of conception and go for the more effectual route of IVF right at the outset.

Medical professionals note that for issues about age-related infertility or low sperm counts, IVF yields far better success rates of 50-60% compared to just 20% odds through regular intimacy. It provides quicker results without loss of valuable time.

Psychological factors also play a role in some couples’ decisions. Rather than feeling disappointed every month, IVF eliminates the stress and emotional turmoil of failing naturally. It gives a sense of control over an otherwise uncertain process.

While invasive and expensive, IVF before attempting natural pregnancy is considered worthwhile by its proponents. When biology alone cannot suffice, this assisted technique empowers many to overcome infertility barriers and start their families sooner rather than later. Though uncommon presently, it signals a progressive trend in the evolving field of reproductive medicine.
