Foreign Embassies and Envoys Celebrate Holi: Embracing the Festival of Colours

Foreign envoys celebrate Holi with enthusiasm in India.

The festival of colors, Holi, was celebrated with much enthusiasm across Indian embassies worldwide. Diplomats joined in the celebrations amidst challenging global times.

The German Ambassador to India shared a lively moment of his colleagues surprising him with colours at the embassy’s Holi event. He said the long Holi weekend had just begun.

Japan’s envoy, Hiroshi Suzuki, extended warm wishes on Twitter, saying, “Holi hai! I hope your Holi is full of happiness and gujiya.”

The Japanese embassy in India also posted images and videos of their celebrations, conveying that Holi colors bring peace and happiness.

Holi marks the advent of spring and the triumph of good over evil, according to Hindu legends. People of all ages have to embrace the joyous spirit, forgetting differences.

As per tales, the festival commemorates Lord Vishnu’s killing of demon king Hiranyakashipu, with righteous principles overpowering malevolence.

Experts say the celebrations by foreign missions signify strengthening people-to-people ties amid testing global scenarios through participation in India’s rich cultural practices.
