Kourtney Kardashian’s ‘natural Ozempic’ faces flak from health experts.
New Delhi: Lemme supplements by reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian have invited criticism yet again, this time over claims that her new product Lemme GLP-1 Daily is a natural version of the diabetes drug Ozempic that aids weight loss.
Doctors opine there is no proof individual ingredients like lemon extract Eriomin and Morosil fruit extract can raise GLP-1 hormone levels as alleged. While they may regulate blood sugar and metabolism, no strong link with weight loss mechanisms was found.
Experts analyzed the ingredients’ properties – Eriomin showed potential for better insulin sensitivity in some studies but definitive evidence is lacking. Anthocyanins in Morosil aid fat reduction and size but not GLP-1.
The product combination’s safety is also unclear due to the absence of research. Side effects like diarrhea are possible from the supplement.
Doctors stress safe weight loss requires balanced lifestyle changes over quick fixes. Caution must be exercised before consuming any supplement without medical advice given unknown impacts.
While Lemme gets commercial success, health specialists continue flagging the brand for making questionable health claims without scientific substantiation or oversight. Mindless or unsupervised use could prove detrimental, they warn.
