More episodes of Emily in Paris, a romantic comedy series on Netflix, have arrived with the second part of season four, and the leading lady, Lily Collins, reveals her style preference. Since September 12, Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2 now moves from the streets of Paris to Rome to offer a new perspective on fashion.
During the interview with People magazine, Collins pointed at one dress that appeared in the new episodes. As for the outfit that was memorable for her, she said it was the one during the latter part of the two episodes shown. Such a look included an old Alaia skirt, a white collared shirt, flat shoes, and a small scarf, and this look indicated a slightly more Italian feel, which is somewhat practical and perfect for some vacation.
Collins added that fans may recognize elements of Audrey Hepburn’s style in Emily’s new outfits. “There are references to the pretty looks of Hepburn in Charade and Roman Holiday in Part 2,” she said, pointing out a scene in which she is wearing big sunglasses, a fur coat, and a hat similar to those Hepburn used to wear.
One of the most essential aspects of the show is the process of combining historical references with the character’s personality and making sure that both the references and the character are recognizable. Marylin Fitoussi – the costume designer – has that job. Collins also seemed to look forward to a very subtle The Lizzie McGuire Movie call back and how confident she was that Emily Cooper’s line was referring to it.
As Season 4, Part 2 of Emily in Paris, is streaming worldwide on Netflix today, fans can enjoy some fabulous ensembles, romantic narratives, and Rome locales that are as enchanting as the show’s title city.
