Malaika Arora and Sanjay Dutt reached Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence at Karisma Kapoor’s place to visit her and her kids, Taimur and Jeh, after the heinous crime related to Saif Ali Khan happened. The actor, who sustained several injuries was stabbed by an intruder inside his Mumbai house on Wednesday night. He is being treated at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra.
A video by Viral Bhayani shows Malaika and Sanjay reaching the building and joining the long list of celebrities, including Karan Johar and Amrita Arora, who have been going to pay their respects. In a related development, CCTV footage of the alleged assailant has surfaced that clearly shows the suspect on the staircase of the building at 2:33 AM on January 16.
It was said that the attacker had been hiding in the Khan house since evening. At around 2 AM, Saif heard some noise coming from Jeh’s room, where one of his female employees was being attacked. Attempting to save her, Saif fiercely fought with the attacker; both he and the employee were injured in the process.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, confirmed that Saif was admitted at 3:30 AM with six stab wounds, including two deep lacerations-one dangerously proximal to the spine that called for immediate surgical intervention. A statement issued by Saif’s team soon after confirmed the attack and urged patience from the media and fans, stressing that the matter is in the hands of law enforcement.
Although Saif is reportedly out of danger, his recovery is ongoing under medical supervision.
In response to the attack, Mumbai police have intensified their operation to catch the suspect and formed several teams to speed up the investigation process. According to the officials, the attacker had entered the building using the staircase. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also deployed seven specialized teams to assist in the current investigation. A formal complaint was filed at the Bandra Police Station, and the investigation is on.
